The Thin Line Between Being Stuck and Being Free from Limbo

This self-portrait captures the fragile tension between confinement and release. Surrounded by swirling strokes and fragmented lines, the figure seems suspended in a state of in-betweenness — neither fully trapped nor entirely free. The work explores the emotional limbo of hesitation and transformation, where stillness and movement collide, and the possibility of liberation quietly emerges.
