The Ghosts of Childhood

This work speaks of the invisible weight we carry from our earliest years.

The fractured shapes and fading blues reflect the exhaustion of a mind marked by memories that never truly leave.

Like fragile flowers imprinted on the skin, childhood ghosts remain — delicate yet heavy, beautiful yet haunting.

In my own childhood, I never experienced a strong presence from my parents. I had to grow up sooner than expected, facing my father’s absence and the distance within my family. These experiences left wounds that I still carry today.

This drawing is dedicated to those who grew up in dysfunctional families — a reminder that even with the insecure attachments shaped by our past, there is still beauty within us, and with hard work, we can find our way through.

The work allows the observer to interpret what he sees.
